The third step often stumps homeowners as they try to figure out a realistic budget. Kitchen projects can run the gamut. Whether accomplished on a beer budget with no frills, or on a larger champagne budget, where every detail and element are a part of the plan, you need to know what you can afford to spend prior to committing to all of your contractors and vendors. A good rule of thumb is to include a ten to fifteen percent cushion for errors and omissions.
